Today was fun! Great church service and then Jackie and I met Carol, the mother of one of my best buds, at Costco. We shopped for snacks for the orphans and the street kids. We got granola bars, cereal bars, fruit snacks and tootsie pops. Jackie "sold" some of her art work to our good friends last night (thank you Justin and Anna for playing along!) and spent her new $3.00 at Target in the dollar section. She bought three packs of sidewalk chalk for the kids in the orphanage. We discussed, again, what it means to be an orphan. (We also had a good discussion on how to take care of an orphan foal or kitten, bottle feeding, breast feeding and then got into why you spay and neuter LOL! She wanted to know if "you do that to people too! Ohh boy!") Now the challenge will be to try to get pictures of the kids playing with it for her! She was cute.
Ty is about to go put the second coat of chocolate colored paint on the desk I got for my 12th birthday, which is the diaper changing table (still need that diaper changing pad LOL!). I've packed much stuff and am working on the final spread sheet of our packing list. I think we are doing ok!
Tonight we are asking for your prayers! Tonight, while we sleep, the ET embassy will let AWAA staff know our fate, or part of it anyway. We should know something at about 9:30 am I would think. Hopefully before lunch anyway! :)
Off to relax a bit! I'm going to try to remember this tomorrow morning and all through this week, one of the craziest weeks of my life:
1 Corinthians 13:7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does NOT envy, it does NOT boast, it is NOT PROUD. It is NOT RUDE, it is not SLEF-SEEKING, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
